- Urud dal
- Ginger ~ a small slice
- Salt, Pepper ~ to taste
- Soak urud dal for a couple of hours (preferably overnight).
- Grind with as little water as possible.
- Add chopped ginger, pepper and salt to the urud dal batter.
- Fry in hot oil.
- If you can get your hands on some curry leaves, add it to the ground batter before frying.
